Koenigsegg-Agera

The Koenigsegg Agera is a mid-engined sports car made by Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg as of 2011. It is a successor to the Koenigsegg CCX/CCXR. The name Agera comes from the Swedish verb 'agera' which means "to act” or "to take action".
It was named Hypercar of the Year in 2010 by Top Gear Magazine.

Engine and transmission

The Agera is powered by an in-house developed 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which produces 940 hp (701 kW) at 6900 rpm and 1,100 N·m (810 lb·ft) of torque at 4000 rpm. Total weight of the engine is only 197 kg (434 lb) thanks to a carbon fiber intake manifold and the aluminum construction. The transmission is a 7-speed dual clutch with paddle shifters. It is the first dual clutch transmission to feature only one input shaft. The second clutch slows down the input shaft during up shifts in order to reduce the time it takes to synchronize the next gear, resulting in faster shift times. Most notably, the transmission weighs only 81 kg (179 lb).

Exterior and interior
The Agera has a body made from pre-impregnated carbon fiber/kevlar with lightweight reinforcements. The car's hardtop roof is stowable under the front hood lid. The chassis is also made out of carbon fiber with an aluminum honeycomb that comes with integrated fuel tanks for optimal weight distribution and safety. The rear wing is electronically adjustable with auto setting or manual control in order to have as little compromise as possible between low drag and down force, depending on situation and mood. The Agera comes with forged aluminum wheels with center locking, measuring 19" on the front and 20" on the back and wrapped in a set of Michelin Super Sport tires that can be used with speeds of up to 260 mph (420 km/h). Other highlights include the trademark Koenigsegg doors, a new traction control system, LED lighting, blue hood stripes that continue on through the cockpit of the car and a custom interior with a new “Ghost light” lighting system, which uses carbon nanotubes in a unique configuration to shine through the car's aluminum buttons.

The Agera R made its debut at the March 2011 Geneva Motor Show — with a ‘Speed Racer' livery theme, special Michelin tires and a Thule Roof Box – although its existence as a production car was already announced prior to this. It is in essence a special edition Agera, which runs on biofuel, rather than petrol. It can accelerate from 0–100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds and reach a theoretical top speed of 443km/h (273 mph). The Agera R is one of the world's most expensive cars, with a price tag of $1.6-$1.7 million.
The wing on the Agera R differs from the other supercars in that it is not electronically controlled, but instead uses the pressure of the wind created at high speeds to force the wing downward and reduce wind resistance. The system is not only lighter than conventional hydraulics, but also smarter since it is able to compensate for headwind or tailwinds instantly. The design is thought out so well that even the pylons holding the wing up are useful. They are shaped in a way that helps to extract air from the engine bay towards the rear of the car.
On 2 September during test sessions in Ängelholm the Agera R broke six world land speed records for a production car, including 0–300 km/h (0–186.4 mph) in 14.53 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 14.6 seconds set by the Bugatti Veyron. The record is now held by the Hennessey Venom GT, which did 0-186 mph in 13.63 seconds on April 6, 2013. The Agera R can produce lateral cornering forces of 1.6 g, thanks to grip from the Michelin Super Sports and a special setup focused on cornering speed.
The 2013 version of Agera R premiered at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. It has upgraded carbon fiber wheels, enhanced aerodynamics and upgraded engine producing 1140 hp when running on E85 biofuel, 960 hp running on low octane gas.

The Jaguar XKR is a grand tourer car that was launched by Jaguar Cars in 1998. The XKR started its life as the Jaguar XK8 (project code X100), which was launched in 1996 as the first generation of a new XK series. The XK8 was available in coupé or convertible body styles and with the new 4.0 litre Jaguar AJ-V8 engine. In 1998 the XKR was introduced with a supercharged version of the engine. From 2003 the engines were replaced by the 4.2 litre AJ34 engines in both the normally aspirated and supercharged versions.  
 The power packed engine of this Jaguar XK model line up is an V8 GEN III, 5.0-litre super charged petrol engine that has 8 cylinders. This commanding engine has the capacity to displace a whopping 5000cc and has been equipped with a highly acclaimed multi point fuel supply system, which further aids in generating a reasonably good fuel economy from this car. The company claims that this Jaguar XK model lineup has the capacity to churn out a moderate mileage in the range of 5 to 6 Kmpl, when driven under standard conditions within the traffic laden city roads and its by lanes. While, this same power packed engine has the ability to generate in between 11 to 12 Kmpl on the highways and the bigger roads, which is rather reasonable for such a immaculate car. This flawless Jaguar XK series have been fitted with a centrally mounted fuel tank, which can store close to 70 litres of petrol in it, which is quite big for longer drives as well.
 The company has fitted this Jaguar XK model lineup with a commanding 5.0-litre petrol engine. This influential motor has been bestowed with eight cylinders, which have been further equipped with a whopping 32 valves. This power packed engine can displace a colossal 5000cc, which is incredible and it can further produce a mind boggling 503bhp at 6000 – 6500rpm in combination with a hammering maximum torque output of 625Nm at 2500 – 5500rpm, which is astounding for the Indian road and traffic conditions.

Both the XK8 and XKR are electronically limited to a maximum of 155.4 miles per hour (250.1 km/h). The XK8 heralded a change in direction for the company, resulting in the S-Type and X-Type. The XK8 came standard with 17" alloy wheels, while 18" (Standard on the XKR), 19", and 20" wheels are available for additional cost. A navigation system and self-leveling xenon headlamps come standard with the XKR and as options for the XK8. Jaguar's Adaptive Cruise Control is an optional feature available on both models. Both come with all-leather interior, burl walnut trim, and side airbags. Jeremy Clarkson, during a Top Gear (a UK motoring magazine/TV show) test-drive, likened the interior of the original XK8 to sitting inside Blenheim Palace. In 2004 the grille design of the XKR was refreshed.
Initially the ZF 5HP24 5-speed automatic transmission was coupled to the conventionally aspirated 4.0L and a Mercedes W5A580 5-speed transmission to the Supercharged version, but in 2002 the new ZF 6HP26 6-speed automatic transmission was fitted in both versions of the 4.2L.

Ferrari-LaFerrari

LaFerrari (also known as the F70, and by its project name, F150) is a limited production hybrid sports car built by Ferrari. The car and its name were officially unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show. It is based on findings from testing of the Ferrari FXX and on research being conducted by the Millechili Project at the University of Modena. Association with the Millechili Project led to speculation during development that the car would weigh under 1,000 kg (2,205 lb), but a dry weight of 1,255 kg (2,767 lb) was claimed. Only 499 units will be built and each will cost more than ₤1 million.
 LaFerrari is the first mild hybrid from Ferrari, providing the highest power output of any Ferrari whilst decreasing fuel consumption by 40 percent. LaFerrari's mid rear mounted 65° V12 Internal Combustion Engine has a 6.3 litre (6262 cc) capacity producing 800 PS (588 kW; 789 bhp) @ 9,000 rpm and 700 N·m (516 lb·ft) of torque @ 6,750 rpm, supplemented by a 163 PS (120 kW; 161 bhp) KERS unit (called HY-KERS), which will provide short bursts of extra power. Unlike conventional hybrid vehicles, in which either the electric motor or the internal combustion engine is running, the KERS system adds extra power to the combustion engine's output level for a total of 963 PS (708 kW; 950 bhp) and the total torque generated by the V12 ICE together with the electric motor being over 900 N·m (664 lb·ft). Ferrari claims CO2 emissions of 330 g/km. The engine's bore and stroke is 94×75.2 mm with a compression ratio of 13.5:1 and a specific power output of 128 metric horsepower per litre. It is connected to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and the car is rear-wheel drive.
 Ferrari states that the car has a top speed exceeding 350 km/h (220 mph), and that it is capable of reaching 100 km/h (62 mph) in under three seconds, 200 km/h (120 mph) in under seven seconds, and a speed of 300 km/h (190 mph) in under 15 seconds. Ferrari also claim that the car has lapped its Fiorano Test Circuit in under 1 minute and 20 seconds which is faster than any other road-legal car Ferrari has ever produced.

LaFerrari received no input from Pininfarina, making it the first Ferrari since the Bertone-styled 1973 Dino 308 GT4 not to have Pininfarina bodywork or other styling. This decision is a rare exception to the collaboration between Ferrari and Pininfarina that began in 1951. However, Ferrari has stated that two new models designed jointly with Pininfarina are yet to be unveiled and that there are no plans to end business relations with Pininfarina.The body computer system is developed by Magneti Marelli Automotive Lighting.

LaFerrari utilises a carbon fibre monocoque structure developed by Ferrari's F1 technical director Rory Byrne, with a claimed 27 percent more torsional rigidity and 22 percent more beam stiffness than the Enzo. It has a double wishbone suspension in the front and a multi-link suspension in the rear.
LaFerrari has a number of electronic controls including ESC stability control, high performance ABS/EBD anti-lock braking system/electronic brake balance, EF1-Trac F1 electronic traction control integrated with the hybrid system, E-Diff 3 third generation electronic differential, SCM-E Frs magnetorheological damping with twin solenoids (Al-Ni tube), and active aerodynamics to enable maximum performance.

Though McLaren claims a 217-mph top speed for the P1, Ferrari refuses to name a figure (its engineers insist it's still under development). Both companies claim remarkably similar acceleration figures. In both cases, they are talking about numbers that may finally put the Bugatti Veyron out to pasture.

Both cars are said to be track-day rockets, with the Ferrari slashing more than 5 seconds off the Enzo's lap time at its Fiorano test track, and Ferrari insists it has already gone sub-7 minutes around the Nürburgring's Nordschleife. McLaren is also estimating a sub-7-minute lap around the Green Hell.
Stupid Money
Both will also be expensive, stupid expensive. McLaren says it will ask $1.15 million for U.S.-bound P1s, while Ferrari prefers its own euros and wants €1.3 million (the equivalent of $1.691 million). Expect a marginally lower price once the Ferrari hits the U.S. Both are limited editions (though plenty of these sorts of machines haven't hit their targets — even the McLaren F1). Ferrari will build 499 LaFerraris (which it claims are sold out), while McLaren is more modestly targeting 375 customers.
"LaFerrari" means "The Ferrari" in Italian, though it's not that simple, because "la" is the feminine version of "the" because Italians use the feminine tense when talking about cars. In fact, to say "The LaFerrari" in Italian, you would have to say "La LaFerrari." McLaren's "P1" is simply something they'd hope to put on a pit board, and follows logically from the classic F1.

The Hummer H3 is a SUV/Sport Utility Vehicle from General Motors' Hummer division produced from 2005 to 2010. It is based on the GMT355 underpinning the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon compact pickup trucks. Produced at GM's Shreveport, Louisiana factory in the USA, and the Port Elizabeth plant in South Africa, the H3 is the smallest among the Hummer models, and the first to be built by GM. It was available either as a traditional midsize SUV or as a midsize pickup known as the H3T.
 The H3 was launched with a 3.5 liter straight-5 cylinder L52 engine that produced 220 hp (160 kW) and 225 lbf·ft (305 N·m) of torque and was mated to a standard five-speed manual transmission or an optional Hydra-Matic 4L60-E four-speed automatic transmission. In 2007 this engine was replaced by 3.7 liter LLR that produced 242 hp (180 kW) and 242 lbf·ft (328 N·m) of torque, figures that were revised in 2009 to 239 hp (178 kW) and 241 lbf·ft (327 N·m). Under revised EPA testing standards when equipped with either transmission this straight-5 engine achieved 14 mpg-US (17 l/100 km) in the city and 18 mpg-US (13 l/100 km) on the highway with a combined average of 15 mpg-US (16 l/100 km). Available solely with the automatic transmission, a 5.3 liter LH8 V8 engine producing 300 hp (220 kW) and 320 lbf·ft (430 N·m) of torque was added in 2008 for the Alpha model and delivered slightly lower fuel economy, estimated at 13 mpg-US (18 l/100 km) in the city, 16 mpg-US (15 l/100 km) on the highway, with a combined average of 14 mpg-US (17 l/100 km).
